WOW is an acronym for WOMEN OF WORTH and is an extension of Mission Messiah, www.missionmessiah.com . Mission Messiah is a twelve month residential, life skills and leadership training program for women and women with children that have found themselves in dire straits and who want new life.

WOW began in December of 2006 as a dream to help single mothers provide for themselves and their precious children. After the ladies graduate the Mission Messiah program they can begin financially supporting their families through WOW opportunities.

It began with used donated goods in a 12,000 sq. ft. building that had been a bar for forty years. City police records reflect that more women had been assaulted at the back door of this bar than any other one location in the county.

Today, it is one of the most beautiful home décor, Christian gift stores in Texas. Shoppers from all over the southwest have made their way to Odessa, enjoying this shopping experience.

Shopping not only includes viewing 1000’s of sq. ft. of beautiful unique merchandise, but framed, recorded miraculous testimonies of WOW ladies throughout the store, that captivate and encourage shoppers.

Our Purpose
WOW was established with three primary purposes in the following order. First and foremost is the desire for WOW women to have a venue from which to share the amazing power of the good news of Jesus Christ. This is being accomplished as these ladies share their amazing stories of being freed from life debilitating issues and finding life in the fullest. They pray with and encourage individuals that have loved ones trapped in the ravages of drugs, alcohol, prostitution, abusive relationships and more that they once knew all too well. They now declare victory, freedom and peace.

Secondly, is the desire to provide an income for single moms and their precious children. Statistics show that 1 in 2 children of single parent families are below poverty line and 9 out of 10 single parents are women. It has never been easy for one parent households to raise children, but consider the challenge with one to five children. In most cases these women have little education and often times have felony records, making it hard to get a good job.
WOW’s customer response and overwhelming success is helping meet this need for many.
Last, but certainly not least is WOW’s commitment to financially support other like-minded efforts. WOW supports orphanages, Christian radio-stations, and other similar women’s facilities to Mission Messiah.

We are blessed to report that from the first month of operation all three of these purposes have been accomplished. We believe that through our commitment to serving you with excellence, we will continue to see our purposes accomplished.
